As part of the school water efficiency program during the Qld drought, DET tendered out a program of water efficiency works in high schools and primary schools in Brisbane. We were successful in winning the project to retrofit 97 schools in Brisbane with 18,000 flow control devices. 

This contract, due to current drought restrictions, was very politically sensitive.  We worked under extremely tight time frames.  We had to quickly gear up a trade work force of 16 plumbers. Our office staff had to manage the bookings with the schools around learning activities.

This was a sensitive contract due to the need to work at schools while they were fully operational. We had to take account of the needs of students, teachers, safety and to close off the water supply during operational hours.

The contract value was in excess of $500k.
