Solar and Energy Efficiency in State School Program

The Department of Education, Training and the Arts (DETA) has established a $60 million, three year solar and energy efficiency in state school program. This is an initiative to support the whole of government strategic energy efficiency policy for government buildings aimed at reducing energy consumption and with it greenhouse gases. The program covers the installation of energy efficient lighting in 1300 school sites across all parts of Qld and will include the supply of over 400,000 T5 lighting retrofits over the program life.

 

Fallon Services has been privileged to be selected to participate in this program. As a Qld owned and managed small to medium sized enterprise we are proud to be offered such an important contract.

 

Fallon Services has this month commenced the final phase of this program. To date Fallon Services has installed 145,000 kits and this final phase should take the total installed by Fallon Services in a one year period to 225,000. Installations have been completed all over Qld from Cooktown to Brisbane.
