Queensland Solar Bonus Scheme feed-in tariff to drop!

The Queensland Government has announced that they will be reducing the feed-in tariff for their Solar Bonus Scheme from 44cents to 8cents, effective on the 10th July 2012. This means that if you sign up to the scheme after this date, you will only receive 8 cents/kwh. If you have signed up before this date, you will continue to receive the 44cents/kwh.

So what does this mean to you?

Basically it means that if you've been considering getting Solar Power, you need to act NOW!!! 

If you sign up for Solar Power before midnight on the 9th July, you will still be eligible to receive the 44cents feed-in tariff. At this rate your system will most likely pay for itself in less than 5 years. So stop procrastinating and get in now before it's too late.
