Fallon Services has just completed the field lighting on a football field for Brothers Rugby in Cairns. The field includes four new 18m poles and 16 new flood lights. The poles and foundation systems were designed to withstand cyclonic conditions that can occur in tropical climates. The rugby lighting has controls to allow lighting to 50 lux for training and 150 lux for club competition. The design helps to improve energy efficiency with the dual controls and minimum wastage of light through computer designed control of spill lighting. A wireless switching system has been installed.
