Are you Taking Advantage of NEW Higher Internet Speeds?

Thursday, January 12, 2012

The National Broadband Network (NBN) that is being gradually rolled out across Australia, is offering higher speeds than currently available in most places. Do you want to get a connection? When will your suburb or new estate have the new NBN infrastructure installed and switched on?

NEW Fastest Wireless Internet Speeds:

Home owners looking for a faster wireless solution should purchase a NEW router featuring the newer 802.11n wireless local area network technology, which is better suited for music and video downloads and will easily meet the 100Mbps top speed currently available on the NBN. This will replace the common, old and cheaper 802.11g wireless local area network, which is limited to a speed of 54Mbps. These routers will still be sufficient for lighter users who are only planning on checking emails and websurfing.

National Broadband Network Queensland Rollout:

  • Services already available in Townsvile;
  • Construction underway: Aspley, Toowoomba and Townsville;
  • Construction to commence within 12 months: Goodna, Nudgee, Toowoomba and Townsville.
In addition, the NBN is building fibre infrastructure in over 150 new developments spread across 96 locations throughout Australia and fixing blackspots in selected regional areas. Find out more about the NBN program.
