Stafford and Stafford Heights Nursing Home, BrisbaneStafford Heights are north of Brisbane - only 8km from the CBD. With two nearby primary schools, Stafford Shopping Centre and Brookside Shopping Centre and close to three hospitals in nearby Chermside, a high percentage of families are attracted to the area.

Stafford has an industrial history. In the 1900s the suburb was dominated by many tanneries and slaughterhouses. After World War II the tanneries were closed and housing estates became available. The Stafford Roller Skating Rink has been a popular meeting spot for decades.

Most homes in Stafford Heights were built in the 1970s and 80s and many have been beautifully renovated, taking advantage of the large blocks and city views. Streets have a Hollywood feel with many being named after movie stars, such as Travolta and Hepburn.
